| This
is not the Chicken Ranch of LaGrange fame.  Instead this is the
Chicken Ranch of Frankston, Texas.  Located 20 miles north of
Palestine, south of Lake Palestine, it's about 2.5 hours north of
        Houston.
         The ranch is owned and
operated by the Green family who happen to be in the chicken brokerage
        business, hence the name.
        During the hunting
season, day hunts are offered for upland birds on over 800 acres of the
        ranch.
        Trap, skeet, a covered 5
Stand, and a sporting clays layout are shot year round.

      For
Sporting Clays, bring your golf cart or Mule, it will come in handy
        here, although not a necessity.
         This weekend the TSCA
will be throwing a shoot at the Ranch.  TSCA shoots tend to be less
expensive and more trophies are given in the various classes.
If you have never been to
a TSCA shoot, or to the Ranch, this weekend is a great opportunity to do
both.  Hope to see you all this Saturday at the Ranch.
        And, hey, if you don't
shoot well, you can always tell your friends, you've been to the Chicken
Ranch... but, not THAT Chicken Ranch.!
