| The
Greater Houston Gun Club is located approximately 15 miles south of
Houston on McCard Rd, just east of So. Post Oak Rd.
         GHGC is a private club
with shooting limited to members and their guests.
        Primarily a skeet club
for the last 12 years this club has expanded and has become ideal for
any serious shotgun shooter.  Presently there are several world
champion skeet shooters and sporting clays shooters included in the
        membership.
        In addition to seven
skeet fields, there is a trap field, a 5-Stand field, plus a new
        sporting clays course.
This is a real club where
the staff and members make new members feel right at home.  A large
kitchen and BBQ pit provide food for shoots and special occasions.
There is always a pot of coffee brewing.

      When it's time for relaxing
there's a large screen TV with plenty of seating, a card table in its own
area, a bar with a pool table, plus seating outside on the veranda where
      you can watch others shoot.
       The club is very user
friendly with adequate staff to keep traps filled and working.
Members can pull targets for themselves on the skeet, trap and sporting
courses.  This offers opportunity for excellent practice whether your
      a novice or experienced shooter.
On June 10, 2001 GHGC will
have its first NSCA sporting clays competition, open to the public, the
      Pope/Bentsen Memorial (event
info).  Take this opportunity to visit as membership has
increased by 50% in the last year.  There are plans to have a
membership limit set so it doesn't become crowded.
       6/9/01 Update: Event
scheduled for June 10th was postponed due to Trop Storm Allison.  New
      date t.b.a.
