One
in 100 Gun Club (Lumberton, Texas) has been around since 1957. If
Dallas Gun Club is like a fine French restaurant, then One in 100 is
your local cafe for great home cooking. No manicured shooting
grounds. No fancy club house, just comfy. It's set among the
beautiful Pines of East Texas.
For activities, you'll
find Skeet, 5-Stand, Sporting Clays and a rifle and pistol range.
The Sporting Clays range has tall towers, a dove tower, open fields,
lake, and in-the-woods presentations.
One in 100 is known for
testy targets come tournament time. This is partly because many
stations are in the Piney Woods. You can find long and short
targets anywhere in Texas, but most clubs don't have the terrain for
shooting in the trees. Here's your opportunity to test yourself
with wooded backdrops.

For those
unaccustomed to shooting in the woods, having trees in front and behind
targets along with shifting light and shadows, can give the best of
shooters quite a challenge.
One of the nice features
of a less formal club is the ability for members to practice shooting
from multiple positions around a station (safety always being the number
one priority).
This is one of many
