LA PALOMA NEGRA - 7/14/01     

165 Shooters turned out for this event.  Not expecting so many shooters, the club was caught a little off guard.  The effort to keep everything running as smoothly as possible was evident, with R&R Traps (Quint Roberson) running around as fast as he could to make everything work.  The slow downs, and there WERE slow downs, just gave everyone some time to visit!  Good targets, great hospitality, fun 5-Stand, a Long Bird that had you scratching your chin....and plenty of SUNSHINE!!!  Must have been 100 degrees.      What a great turn out, we were fortunate to have so many shooters. I just hope everyone will be understanding about the machine malfunctions which caused such delays. Its our intention at Capitol City to see that every shooter has a good time and enjoys themselves. Unfortunately some things are out of our control. We can only learn from what we've done and move forward.

DIRECTIONS: From I –35 in Austin

Take 290 East towards Houston to the light at Decker Lane. Take a right, headed south.

Turn at the first left at Lindell Lane, just past the railroad tracks.

Go 100 yards to the CCT&S entrance marked by the red and white sign, and follow the road to the clubhouse.
